Definately Toddlerhood

I love this picture! It captures the feeling she's experiencing on the slide perfectly. She's SO cute!
My daughter has become a completely new child this weekend. She is all the more of a handful then ever before. I pretty sure she grew a couple of inches this week. She not only looks taller but keeps hitting her head on the table. She is becoming very clear on her words like mama & dada, adding to her vocabulary this weekend with such clarity the word "juice" which she seems to want all the time. Then there's the part where she has got a mind of her own & she is utilizing that to the best of her ability. She has also reached a kicking/hitting stage that I dislike terribly but when I tell her to stop after she's done one of the two, or both, (laughing like it's a game) she utilizes her female skills of leaning in for a kiss & laying her head down on my shoulder for a snuggle. (How do kids learn how to con us at such a young age?) Of course I'm going to melt when she's being adorable like that. Then she decided to stay up till 3 am two night this week. That's a record for her, of terrible nights in a week since she was a newborn. (Sigh) This too like all other stages will pass, I'll remind myself. I just can't help but Love her.

Funny!

I went down this slide right before he did & barely fit so I didn't know how he was going to but he wanted to go down it so I had to video tape it & he said when his feet reached the bottom his head was still in the tunnel so if he stood up he would have knocked himself out so he "rode it out." (He would only fit with his hands above his head.) It still caught me off guard to watch him come out so fast & just fall....anyway enjoy, it gave us some good laughs.

Christmas Carols

We have an Amazing choir director. She is the most gifted director I've ever seen. She makes our choir sound like angels. So Rick & I joined the choir for the holidays. Well I persuaded Rick to join with me. I wanted to sing christmas carols this year & knew I would really enjoy it. Yesterday I was given the opportunity to sing in a double quarted which turned out beautiful, & that evening our choir sang at our stake fireside where all the wards come & sing a song. They called it the "Carols of the choirs" & then we finished the fireside with all 10 wards singing the Hallelujah Chorus together. It was amazing! I love the Holidays for that. The spirit is so strong through music, & everyone is so much more enthusiastic when they sing Christmas songs because they already have the Christmas spirit. I am really grateful for the opportunity I've had to be able to be part of this choir....."to be a voice in the Lord's choir".... & share in the spirit of the Holidays.

Events of the last couple weeks

Mickie & Cody "just chillin"
Mickie & Cody Not "just chillin"
Mickie loves "Operation." I was getting us packed for Disneyland & she played with this for almost a straight hour. She would hold the tweezers on the metal & play with his lit-up nose.

Daddy & Mickie on the plane getting ready for take-off to Disneyland! Mickie had so much fun. She loved take-off but fell asleep 10 min before we landed.

All of us on the plane

Rick wanted to take me to The Harbor House for lunch. He used to come here all the time as a teenager and really enjoyed the food & memories.

While on our way to Disneyland we made a stop by my Nana's 80th Birthday party. She has a boyfriend we all got to meet. She was so happy, & isn't she beautiful!?! I hope i look that good when I'm 80.

Cody & Mickie on an airport wheelchair on our way home from Disneyland. Mickie was asleep before we got on the plane & woke up the last 20 min to play with Cody.

Wouldn't you love to have this helper when doing your laundry?

Thanksgiving Day!

Mickie loves this Rocking Horse at Grandpa & Grandma. She played with it most of Thanksgiving Day.

Mickie & Robert are the best of friends right now. She loves it when he comes over to visit. They will play like this the whole time he's here.

DISNEYLAND

We had an amazing opportunity to go to Disneyland a couple of weeks ago. Thank you so much Melvin & Fran for making this happen! We will never forget this wonderful experience of not only going to Disneyland but seeing it during the magic of the holidays. It was a trip we will never forget.
First day at Disneyland going into the park, we snatched a picture in front of California Adventure. They had the whole park ready for the upcoming Friday which started the Christmas Holiday season. Friday night we watched it snow on Disneylands mainstreet. Mickie had never seen anything like Disneyland. By the last morning we went into the park she was bouncing, singing & clapping her hands in her stroller. Disneyland really is a magical place.
Dad & Micie in Tomorrowland on the Rocket ride. Mickie loved the flying rides. She would close her eyes and lift her head to the sun and laugh and sing with a huge grin on her face.

Mickie's & Cody's rooms were connected & they would hang out every morning in the opposite room when they weren't helping each other make a mess of something. It was lots of fun!

Going for a stroll in the park

The new Toy Story ride in California Adventure. It was awesome! Mickie didn't like it the second time around when I rode it with her. Probably because she didn't get the whole 3D thing, because she wouldn't have a thing to do with the glasses your suppose to wear. She yanked them off everytime.
I was surprised she actually crawled all the way through this tunnel in Brother Bear Land, because she stopped in the center & just sat there for a couple minutes. So I crawled in there and encoured her to go the rest of the way. She loved it! She didn't want to leave it, but there were kids waiting to go through it.
Mickie loved the slides in Brother Bear Land

Our whole group at Disneyland (minus Terisa) with Mickey Mouse!

Minnie Mouse in Toontown. This was our last day, & Melissa & I got the to see Twilight in DownTown Disney on opening day. It was awesome. Unfortunately I was so excited about seeing the movie I forgot to grab my camera to document it. So no pictures of us there. But it was a couple of hours after this picture was taken. This was the official day the Holiday Season at Disneyland started & we all could tell because the previous days we could walk onto rides & this day we were waiting in lines. It was such a fun trip! THANKS AGAIN, MEL & FRAN.

I'm Back!

I know I disappeared for a while but believe it or not I missed my blog. (Not like I was posting regularly or anything.) It's nice to take some time and think/share about all the wonderful things that are going on in my life.
