We Are Having A Girl!!!
So we are excited to annouce that we are welcoming another little girl into our family!!! Mickie is going to have a little sister!!! We are thrilled!!!!! We were hoping to get two girls together so that they could be friends. The ultrasound did throw us for a loop though because in our first ultrasound at 12 weeks, the Doctor asked us if we wanted to know what our baby's gender was and we said yes. He didn't promise any capability that he'd even be able to see it but checked anyway. He looked for a second and said it's slightly unclear but if he had to guess he was pretty positive it was a boy! We were shocked because we were sure we were having a girl. So we didn't tell anyone because the probability was still unsure & there was a 50%-50% chance it was still a girl. Well we started settling in on the idea that the Doctor was probably right and he couldn't possibly have seen something their if there wasn't going to be something their (if you know what I mean). Well we had a different Doctor do our ultrasound the second time and we wanted to know the gender and when he told us "girl" I hesitated and asked him to check again. Sure enough he checked and It was a Girl! I told the Doctor the story of our first ultrasound and he said it was way to early to tell and that he probably was just seeing the umbilical cord. So I sat there shocked and delighted with the results. I did take all day for it to really sink in though and I still am shocked when I really think about it! As my sister always states, "Ultrasounds never cease to surprise." So true. It was so amazing to get to peek inside the womb and see our little girl. It's probably one of the most exciting parts of being pregnant!! We are relieved to know and see that she is a healthy, strong and Very active baby. We are so blessed!!!
